What We Offer Philanthropy Manager Novant Health Foundation The Philanthropy Manager plays a key role in advancing the mission of Novant Health Foundation by helping develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy. This position focuses on building and sustaining a strong major gift pipeline through meaningful donor relationships, strategic solicitation, and stewardship efforts within an assigned market. Key Responsibilities Support the development and execution of the Foundation’s comprehensive fundraising plan, including major gift initiatives, campaigns, and planned giving Build, manage, and grow a major gift pipeline by actively cultivating and soliciting donors with annual giving capacity of $25,000 or more Secure gifts of $25,000 or greater in support of assigned programs and priorities Manage a portfolio of at least 75 active prospects and donors, including individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies Qualify prospective donors for inclusion in the major gift pipeline to ensure sustainable philanthropic support Partner with Foundation leadership, clinical leaders, and volunteers to align donor interests with organizational priorities Serve as a Foundation liaison to an assigned medical center and/or manage specific Foundation programs or projects as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of donor activity in the Foundation’s development database Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required Experience Five (5) years of major gift and/or planned giving experience required Healthcare fundraising experience preferred Licensure/Certification Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred Required Skills & Competencies Proven success soliciting and closing major gifts of $25,000 or more Planned giving knowledge and experience highly desirable Donor-centered fundraising approach with strong relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with donors, leadership, and colleagues Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished and persuasive communicator Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities Self-starter who is results-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities High level of professionalism and discretion; ability to handle confidential information Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respectful collaboration Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising databases Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Passion for philanthropy and alignment with the mission and goals of Novant Health Why Join Novant Health?
