This internship is specifically designed for individuals working towards a PhD who are developing proficiency in their field. As an intern or co-op in management, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.  This is a 12-week paid internship, designed to provide you with a solid foundation for future career growth. The Opportunity:

P&G is offering an exciting opportunity for a PhD intern to join our Hair Care Strategic Technology Platform team located in Mason, OH. In this role, you will lead projects that focus on evaluating the properties of consumer hair and how these factors influence consumer perceptions of our products.  Collaborating with diverse project teams, you will gather insights and develop innovative solutions that enhance the effectiveness of our Hair Care products, such as Pantene conditioners and Herbal Essences shampoos. The insights you generate will be instrumental in shaping our business strategy, enabling our products to better resonate with consumers and achieve sustainable success for our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead projects to assess the properties of consumer hair and analyze how these characteristics affect consumer perceptions of Hair Care products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data, generating insights that drive innovation in product development.Develop and propose R&D solutions that enhance the performance and benefits of Hair Care products, ensuring they meet consumer needs and expectations.Serve as a strong coach, guiding and mentoring team members to support their work.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education: Working towards a PhD in polymer chemistry, material science, or related fields.Expertise in polysaccharide chemistry and high proficiency in Rheological Measurements.Passionate about the hands-on experiment work and demonstrate track record of leading innovation.Available to work a 12-week internship from May/early June to August in the summer of 2026.  Ability to work 5 days (M-F) per week out of our Mason, OH location.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.Proficient in modeling analytical data.
