OverviewThe Pharmacy Technician Supervisor assists the Pharmacy and/or General Manager, Staff Pharmacists, Home Infusion Coordinators, IV and Personal Services Representative Technicians and Couriers in the provision of medications and supplies to clients of the branch. This role coordinates the activities of the IV and PSR Technicians and Supply/Delivery Courier. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor performs most tasks associated with the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and their assigned workloads.

Responsibilities Monitors workload of staff and collaborates with management regarding staffing needsFacilitates staff development and cross-trainingDelegates duties and tasks in order to streamline workflowParticipates in and coordinates the hiring and training of all new Pharmacy TechniciansConducts annual and semiannual performance reviews for direct reports, with General Manager signoffAdheres to all applicable local, state and federal regulations, accreditation requirements and Amerita policies and proceduresHelps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, Technicians and Patient Care CoordinatorsEnsures that all compounding personnel have up-to-date competencies and maintains accurate records of all activities under the supervision of the Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager or General ManagerParticipates in pharmaceutical compounding activities in the absence of the IV TechniciansEnsures sterility testing and sanitation and maintenance of the Clean Room complex are performed as scheduledPerforms inventory control activities, including monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, labeling, stocking and shippingEnsures products are returned to wholesaler or manufacturer in a timely fashion Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; certification preferred Completion of community college or technical school curriculum in pharmacy technology highly desirable Familiarity with CPR software and ability to print refills on prescriptions and retrieve and print patient lists for weekly Patient Review and daily follow ups Computer skills including Microsoft Office Previous supervisory experience required About our Line of Business Amerita, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a specialty infusion company focused on providing complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services to patients outside of the hospital.
