Pharmacy Technician I_Inpatient
The Level I Inpatient Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications. This position ensures accurate inventory management and maintains essential medication records, contributing to the smooth operation of the pharmacy department. As a vital liaison between the pharmacy and clinical areas, the technician helps ensure timely and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals and related supplies. Additional responsibilities may include generating reports, operating automated dispensing equipment, performing data entry, and providing excellent customer service to support high-quality patient care.   Hourly Pay Rate: $18.24 - $26.90   Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is preferred but not required. Experience: Prefer one (1) year of pharmacy experience with an emphasis in a hospital setting. Certification/Licensure: Must possess CPhT Certification issued and be licensed by the AZ State Board of Pharmacy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of mathematical calculations and medication terminology. Must know computer software, particularly pharmacy system software. Training in automated dispensing systems, compounding intravenous medications, and sterile preparations is preferred. Must have effective written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
