Education * High School Diploma or Equivalent Required License and Certification * RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required and Other IV Certification Preferred Experience + 1 year of experience in hospital experience What You Will Do * Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location. * Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives. * Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time. * Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel. * Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies. * Other duties as assigned.
