The Pharmacy Technician – Home Delivery, Ambulatory supports prescription fulfillment for the home delivery pharmacy located at the Cleveland Clinic Administrative Building in Beachwood. This role works in a fast-paced, warehouse-style environment where technicians receive and scan drug orders, restock supplies, operate equipment such as pallet jacks and support shipping and packaging processes. Technicians also fill prescriptions in an assembly-line setting with six fill stations and assist with automation support, including Pyxis machines. This high-volume operation has filled more than 3,400 prescriptions in a single day and offers an opportunity to be part of an efficient, team-based model focused on timely and accurate medication delivery to patients.
A caregiver in this position works between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday rotating between 7:00am to 5:30pm (10hr shift), 7:00am to 3:30pm (8hr shift) or 8:30am to 5:00pm (8hr shift). May work an occasional Saturday shift.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP)
Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role.
