Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team, focusing primarily on front-end processing tasks. This role involves significant interaction with customers and prescribers, ensuring smooth operations within our pharmacy software system.

ResponsibilitiesAnswer phones and process prescription refills and new prescriptions using pharmacy software.Assist walk-in customers at the front desk with will-call transactions.Manage voicemails and triage calls to pharmacists.Fax refill requests to prescribers and support processing pharmacists with various projects.Rotate between processing area and front desk, handling tasks like sorting hard copies, cutting bubble wrap for shipping, shredding PHI, and other organizational duties.Lift and move containers weighing up to 20lbs.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician Certification or equivalent credentials.At least 1 year of experience in any pharmacy setting.Proficiency in pharmacy software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent data entry and typing skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to multitask effectively, including managing phone calls while using computer systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsOregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certification required.High School Diploma or GED.Previous customer service experience in any setting.Demonstrated reliability and positive attendance record.Proven ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.Work Environment

The position operates in a call-center-like environment on the second floor with low cubicle walls. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with every third Saturday required, shifting to a Tuesday-Saturday workweek. Shifts rotate weekly, requiring flexibility to work opening, mid, and closing shifts. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
