The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily technical workflows within pharmacy operations and actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The role is based at the Florida Research and Innovation Center (FRIC) on the traditional campus, with an on-site presence one day per week. The coordinator will travel regularly—approximately 3 to 4 days per week—between locations from Weston to Indian River for technician rounding, with one day dedicated to administrative tasks and meetings.

A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm with no holiday, weekend or on-call requirements. There will be reimbursements for mileage travelling to different facilities.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Coordinate the daily workflow of pharmacy technicians and department operations related to technical work.Maintain and foster relationships to support the engagement, training and success of pharmacy technicians.Manager training plans and schedule and support onboarding and training of pharmacy technicians.Participate in pharmacy technician scheduling under the direction and supervision of the pharmacy manager and assistant manager.Contribute to project teams and support department continuous improvement processes.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High school diploma or GEDCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Florida Board of Pharmacy. Registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hireTwo years of experience in a healthcare or related setting

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor's degreeCompletion of an accredited pharmacy technician programHealth-system pharmacy experience

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times.Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.Normal or corrected vision.Extensive sitting for prolonged periods of time.Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.

Personal Protective Equipment:
