As a Pharmacy Technician, you play an essential role in keeping patients safe and comfortable throughout their outpatient experience. **A caregiver in this position works varying 8hr shifts primarily, but at times 10hr shifts according to business needs. Weekend requirements average 3 -4 Saturdays per quarter which can increase based on based on business needs.**
**Pharmacy Operating Hours are:**
+ 8am-8pm Monday - Thursday
+ 8am-6pm Fridays
+ 7:45a-4:15pm Saturdays
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
+ Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
+ Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.
+ Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items.
+ Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
+ Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products.
+ Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED.
**Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:**
+ Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP). ** **

+ It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
+ Can perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $19.25
Maximum hourly: $28.00
