Qualifications and Requirements:

Education/Licensing/Experience Level:
High school diploma or GED Maintain registration with State Board of Pharmacy, if required. Certified pharmacy technician preferred. Two years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferredSkills and Background:
Problem solving abilities and attention to details Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Pharmacy Prescription Reading and Sig Codes knowledge preferred Preferred experience with PDX, EPS and Enterprise Customer service or patient care experience Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred Knowledge of community pharmacy practice Problem solving skills, including problem analysis, decision making, creativity, and innovation. Good computer skills including previous experience with data entry, typing in prescriptions into computer system Basic math skills and the ability to calculate days’ supply for prescriptionsResponsibilities:

This also involves emphasizing the importance of demonstrating good patient care and customer service and put in place practices that help promote a service-orientated culture. Written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing, write in a clear and concise manner to peers, vendors, managers, or customers/patients. This also includes the ability to target material to the appropriate audience and use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Oral communication skills, including the ability to speak in a clear and concise manner to peers, vendors, managers, or customers one-on-one Must possess a positive, enthusiastic, compassionate attitude.Physical Environment
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
