Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - ALT

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively communicating about various insurance types, handling documentation, and assisting with pharmacy-related projects. You will manage communications with patients, triage prescriptions, and process pharmacy claims efficiently.

Responsibilities

Recognize and effectively communicate about insurance types and their utilization.Enter all communication and documentation in the Biologics MIS system.Assist with projects, such as yearly reverification.Communicate with patients to gather appropriate insurance information.Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when Biologics is unable to serve the patient.Process pharmacy claims appropriately in Biologics MIS.Recognize and understand pharmacy claim responses.Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors regarding patient updates and services.Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians.Manage and reply to internal written communications and requests via chat or email.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is a plus.Must be NC Registered.Strong customer service skills and experience with prior authorizations.1+ years of related experience required.Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years of related experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in data entry, retail pharmacy, or call center environments.

Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite office environment in Cary, NC. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 9am to 6pm, 10am to 7pm, or 11am to 8pm EST. The office is closed on weekends and major holidays, providing a professional setting without direct patient contact.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
