This role involves handling moderately complex assignments where sound judgment is needed to resolve issues and make routine recommendations. The individual will work independently on routine tasks and receive general guidance for new assignments.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview referral contents to ensure all required information is complete and accurate.Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed documents by entering correct patient and provider data.Conduct initial prescription checks for clinical accuracy.Communicate with providers to clarify prescriptions, gather missing information, and address patient concerns.Update concise progress notes to support workflow transparency for other teams.Accurately enter new provider information (e.g., NPI) into the system for reporting purposes.Perform additional duties as assigned.Required SkillsCall center experienceVerification processesPharmacy technician certificationPharmacy operations knowledgeStrong data entry skillsProficient in basic computer applicationsAbility to multitask and work effectively with othersDetail-oriented, conscientious, flexible, and adaptableHealthcare experience preferred
Qualifications
High School Diploma requiredAn Active CPhT is preferred. Must be NC Registered2+ years of pharmacy experience preferredPrior experience in a pharmacy setting requiredWork Environment
This position is fully onsite in the Cary area. The schedule is 11 am - 8 pm. The role is a contract position with potential to go direct.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
