Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for handling all areas of the pharmacy to ensure comprehensive coverage. You will be cross-trained in various departments to provide seamless support and service. Responsibilities + Perform data entry using short codes and manage prescriptions, identifying and rectifying any errors for quality assurance. + Sort and attach faxes to patient profiles accurately, ensuring all prescription details are correctly entered into the patient's chart. + Communicate with doctors' offices to obtain prescription refills or clarify information and provide updates to patients on their prescriptions. + Take verbal prescriptions over the phone and address any adverse events with strong communication skills. Essential Skills + Michigan Pharmacy Technician License/Certification. + 2-3 years of pharmacy experience. + Strong computer skills. + Excellent customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Script Med. + Experience with free drug programs. + High volume prescription processing experience. Work Environment The role is based in a Specialty Pharmacy setting, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm or 9:30am - 6pm. The position requires attention to detail and teamwork in a professional environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Macomb, Michigan.
