Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle moderately complex assignments, requiring judgment in problem-solving and making routine recommendations. This position involves creating patient profiles, ensuring accurate prescription processing, and updating referral status while maintaining communication with providers.
ResponsibilitiesReview referral contents to ensure complete and accurate information is received.Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.Conduct initial prescription checks to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.Communicate with providers about referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.Update concise progress notes for quick assessment of referral status by other roles.Enter new provider information accurately into the system for business intelligence reporting.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required and must be current.2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Competency in basic computer skills.Ability to effectively work with people.Conscientious and detail-oriented.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Healthcare experience preferred.Multi-task oriented.Flexible and adaptable.Work Environment
This role is based in a call center environment with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm EST, and closed on weekends. The position is onsite during the reverification period from 9am to 6pm, then shifts to 11am to 8pm before transitioning to a hybrid model. The work environment is office-based with no direct patient contact, and all interactions are conducted over the phone. Major holidays are observed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
