Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be working primarily with Medicare patients, focusing on handling prior authorizations. You will start by managing the intake of prior authorizations, setting them up in our systems, and sending them to a review technician. There is potential for training on review processes as well.

ResponsibilitiesManage the intake of MedPharm prior authorizations.Set up prior authorizations in the system.Send prior authorizations to review technicians.Provide customer service to Medicare and Medicaid patients.Handle phone calls with professionalism, controlling and redirecting conversations as necessary.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician certification.Experience in managed care and pharmacy.Prior authorization handling.Data entry proficiency.Strong customer service skills over the phone.Ability to work remotely and independently.Computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with appeals and claims.Strong communication skills.Ability to control and redirect phone conversations.Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, requiring a closed-door setting with limited distractions to ensure HIPAA compliance. You must have strong Wi-Fi capabilities and the ability to work independently. The role involves rotating holiday schedules with other team members, and lunch breaks can range from 30 minutes to an hour.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
