Accurately and efficiently processes prescriptions. Interacts with patients and managed care plans to authorize prescription coverage. Assembles prescriptions and follows proper procedures to prepare and dispense medications. Accurately and efficiently completes patient purchase transactions utilizing point of sale systems. Assists with maintaining accurate medication inventories and billing of medications. Effectively communicates utilizing established systems and processes. Performs responsibilities and duties of the job in a manner that is attentive to age and ability considerations. **Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications + High School diploma or equivalent Additional Qualifications + Effectively reads, writes, speaks and understands English. + Able to learn technical tasks. Able to follow written and verbal directions. Able to apply math and calculator skills along with a working knowledge of the metric system. + Possess strong telephone and verbal communication skills. Experience with the use of office software computer applications and keyboarding. + Prior experience as an outpatient pharmacy technician preferred. + Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and pay attention to detail. Proven organizational and problem solving skills. Proven ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment. + No history of drug abuse or misuse; or proof of successful completion of a certified drug abuse rehabilitation program is required. License or Certification + Current registration with the Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy, or eligibility for registration. + National Pharmacy Technician certification within 12 months of hire. **Exemption Status** Nonexempt **Compensation Detail** Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Note: This pay range spans from the minimum for a Tech I to the maximum for a Tech V. Placement within a level and within the range is dependent on experience and qualifications. $20.06 - $38.55 / hour **Benefits Eligible** Yes **Schedule** Part Time **Hours/Pay Period** 40 **Schedule Details** Monday-Friday, shifts varying between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm **Weekend Schedule** Saturday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
