Responsibilities
As our Pharmacy Technician II at Dignity Health, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, playing an essential role in providing safe and efficient medication services. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with the daily operations of the pharmacy.
You will collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the right medications in a timely manner. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety will be crucial in this role
Fills physician orders, medication kits, medication carts, or stock requisitions accuratelyPrepares intravenous admixtures, parenteral nutrition products and other sterile products accurately, utilizing approved sterile technique in accordance with USP standardsReplenishes medications in emergency crash carts accuratelyDelivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule utilizing approved technological devices to verify accuracy of processesQualifications
Minimum
High school diploma or GED
Trained in preparation of intravenous and other sterile products (documentation required).
Ability to demonstrate competency in the preparation of intravenous and other sterile products
Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
PreferredTwo years health-system pharmacy technician experience
