**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** **SUMMARY:** Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assists in the provision of pharmaceutical care to various customers by verifying the medication packaging process and outcomes. Practices within the scope of state and federal regulations. **REQUIREMENTS:** + 1. Must be licensed Pharmacy Tech with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, based on the state worked. + 2. National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 3 years’ experience. **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** + 1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. + 2. Assists the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, which includes various material resource management, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties. + 3. Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. + 4. Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities. + 5. Understands the limitations to performing certain responsibilities of a registered technician in dispensing medications and remains within the scope of practice. + 6. Transports medications to patient rooms or nursing medication rooms. + 7. Retrieves unused medications from patient rooms or nursing areas. + 8. Excellent communication skills. + 9.
