Pharmacy Material Coordinator - Narcotic Inventory

As a Pharmacy Material Coordinator, you will procure and maintain pharmaceutical supply inventories and the distribution of stock. You will update all systems to ensure prompt payments to vendors and ensure accurate documentation of inventory management.
**Caregivers in this role will work 3 days once per week and 2 days the following week at JT Hospice. Every 6th weekend will be held at Akron General. Consistent shifts are Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Weekend shifts are 5:00am to 1:30pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Ensure continuous supplies are maintained with little or no interruption.
+ Implement, manage and maintain inventory systems to order, control, expedite, and inventory supplies to enhance the fiscal management of the department.
+ Monitor reports and available publications for insight into shortages and determine appropriate substitute items.
+ Provide information to technicians while carrying out inventory control function.
+ Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives and conduct business according to established principles and guidelines.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED and three years of experience in a similar role
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
+ Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy within six months of hire

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
+ Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-site
+ Must have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
