Main responsibilities:
The Tier 2 Pharmacy Controlled Substance Analyst works under the direction of the Pharmacy Controlled Substance Manager and performs tasks that fall under the controlled substance monitoring program (CSMP) including, but not limited to, data collection, analysis, reporting, and investigation into Asset Protection issues.
Ensure accurate and timely controlled substance loss reporting to DEA and state regulatory agencies Identification and analysis of controlled substance diversion risks through analysis of reports and analytic tools Coordinate controlled substance investigations Perform, document and present controlled substance dispensing reviews of pharmacies and prescribers Provide requested analytics and information for legal and regulatory requests Monitor controlled substance orders daily as part of the Suspicious Order Monitoring (SOM) program. Coordinate controlled substance threshold increase requests with pharmacy teams, division leaders, and wholesaler(s). Perform regulatory reviews initiated by wholesaler(s) and provide necessary responses for regulatory interviews.We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or equivalent experience preferred. Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. Pharmacy experience preferred. Minimum of two years of analytics experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to constant change. Proficient math skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Efficient time management and organizational skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong decision-making abilities. Detail-oriented with a high degree of initiative and results orientation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The salary range is $54,600 to $71,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
