QUALIFICATIONS

Education

·       Must be enrolled in Registered Pharmacy Assistant Program

·       Certification as a Registered Pharmacy Assistant is preferred.

Experience

·       Pharmacy experience in community or hospital setting

·       1-2 years, IV admixture skill is preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

·       Work in a sterile environment, following strict protocols, including disinfecting multiple times per day.

·       This role is physical in nature. Ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, and sit.

·       Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

·       Lifting required of up to 50lbs

·       Gowning protocol

·       The employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals

·       The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles

·       The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

·       Weekend and evening work may be required
