Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, compounding medications, and advising healthcare professionals. This role offers the opportunity to advance into a Pharmacist-in-Charge position, with potential for higher pay and day/evening shifts.
ResponsibilitiesReview prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.Compound sterile and non-sterile medications by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to standard formulas and processes.Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.Ensure the accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.Dispense medications and counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management.Provide information on products like durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.Active Pharmacy License in the State of Minnesota.Willingness to obtain licensure for multiple states as requested by management.1 year+ experienceWork Environment
M-F rotating shift
You also end up working 2 out of 7 weekends.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr.
