Aspirus Pharmacy - Westwood Wausau in Wausau, WI is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to join our retail team!
The Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for the professional operations of pharmacy and is designated as the Pharmacist in Charge/Managing Pharmacist with the WI, MI, and MN State Boards of Pharmacy. They have oversight of all activities related to the practice of pharmacy including the purchasing, storage, compounding, repackaging, dispensing, and distribution of drugs and devices to ensure that those activities are performed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The PIC is responsible for enforcement and oversight of medication related policies and procedures. The PIC will act as a preceptor for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students as needed.
Our ideal candidate possesses a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) and considerable experience as a professional pharmacist, preferably in a role requiring leadership. This role requires you have superb attention to detail and organizational skills.
HOURS: Full-Time of 1.0 FTE, Monday – Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM day shift, No weekends!
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy, PharmD or other advanced degree. Active Wisconsin licensure as a pharmacist and will obtain Michigan & Minnesota upon hire.
