Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? Mon-Friday – 8 hour shift. Shifts will be in increments of 8.5 hrs. with 30min lunch and can vary from 7am to 7:30pm i.e., 7-3:30, 9-5:30, 11-7:30 Over time is not required, however we do offer upon business needs 8-4:30 training schedule Rotating schedule every 1 week. Note that hours could be anytime between 6am and 10pm (usually 8 hour shift) Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hClientardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. 4-7 years of experience.
