The pharmacist will also assist with preparing and dispensing medications, advising healthcare providers on drug therapies, and providing excellent customer service to patients. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of psychiatric medications. The hours would be Mon - Fri 9:00am – 2:00pm. One weekend a month and occasional holidays – 8:00am – 12pm Duties and Responsibilities + Conducting polypharmacy audits, controlled medication, and other clinical audits + Dispensing medication orders + Ensuring accuracy and safety of the medication process + Providing drug information and education to medical staff and patients + Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy policies and procedures + Monitoring drug therapies for effectiveness and interactions + Maintaining inventory of medications and supplies + Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards Requirements and Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college or university + State Pharmacy license in good standing + Experience with electronic medical records and pharmacy systems + Excellent organizational and communication skills + Able to work independently and as part of a team + Able to work flexible hours and respond quickly to urgent situations Preferred Qualifications: Experience or training in psychiatry Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah (GRHS) operates 179 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas: 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services. GRHS offers inpatient adult mental health services, inpatient habilitation services and forensic program services to individuals throughout Georgia.
