Responsibilities
Ensure the appropriate handling, processing and dispensing of all designated high risk medications in accordance with hospital policy.Ensures the timely clarification of medication orders.Assures entries to the patient medication profile present no significant problems in regard to drug interactions, drug-allergy interactions, incompatibilities, therapeutic duplications or patient safety, and intervenes as appropriate. Prepares, verifies and dispenses medications in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing available safety features (eg, barcoding) as outlined in our facility policy.
Qualifications

Miniumum:

B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D.

Valid Arizona pharmacist license

Preferred

One year hospital experience

Strong clinical pharmacy skills

Previous experience with Hospital Pharmacy computer systems
