Staff Pharmacist–Clinic-Based Pharmacy

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pharmacist to lead operations in a small, clinic-based pharmacy. As the sole pharmacist, supported by two pharmacy technicians, you will be instrumental in delivering safe, accurate, and patient-centered care to a walk-in, self-pay population. This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy, collaborative healthcare, and meaningful patient interaction.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications, counsel patients on medication usage, side effects ,and storage.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulationsReview prescriptions for accuracy and check for drug interactionsEnsure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.Compounding medications and prepare specialized solutions as neededCounselnursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, and advise physicians about medication therapy.Supervise pharmacy technicians and guide pharmacy studentsManage medication inventory, daily ordering, and automatic refillsCollaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient therapy outcomesMaintain patient profiles ,medication records, and controlled substance registriesReview over-the-counter and prescribed medications for patient suitabilityAccurately calculate, weigh, and mixing ingredients for compounded prescriptionsCompound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.Answer phone calls from nurses and provide necessary information.Direct other pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.Ensure the accuracy of prescription orders and the efficient fulfillment of these orders.

Requirements

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.Required: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - State Licensing Board in the state of IndianaExperience in outpatient, retail, or clinic-based pharmacy settings preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage a dynamic workloadCommitted to serving patients with professionalism and compassion

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $70.00/hr.
