Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Clinical PharmacySchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist works collaboratively with other health care providers to provide patient-centered care, keeping in mind the importance of providing evidence-based and cost-effective pharmacotherapy. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist participates in daily rounds to monitor effectiveness of patient therapy, provides drug information, review physician orders, and coordinate dispensing of medications. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will ensure adherence to state/national best practice standards, and the hospital’s policies and procedures. Lastly, the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is critical in implementing quality improvement initiatives and in providing education to other healthcare professionals, including learners.
This pharmacist complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.

Hours: Day shift, M-F, Weekend clinical coverage*
Education:
+ Doctor of Pharmacy OR Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
Experience / Certifications:
+ Licensed pharmacist and eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Ohio required
+ PGY1 Pharmacy Residency OR
+ PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency (or relevant PGY2 specialty residency) OR
+ Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (or board certified in relevant specialty) OR
+ >4 years of pediatric pharmacy experience
