PET Technologist

About Lemmen Holton Cancer Center 

We treat cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. We use a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in any type of cancer. 

Scope of Work

Operates positron emissions tomography / computerized tomography (PET/CT) imaging equipment and injector and prepares radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging studies to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Completes work in independent, professional manner with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field2 years of relevant experience nuclear medicine RequiredCRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required OrCRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Upon Hire required AndCRT-Positron Emission Tomography (PET) - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board 2 Yrs requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days of hire required
