Ensures proper patient preparation, including aseptic intravenous catheter placement for injection, safe handling, calculation, and administration of high energy PET radiopharmaceuticals produced from on-site cyclotrons. Performs complex PET/CT and PET/MR exams. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of image reconstruction utilizing dedicated software applications. Generates PET/CT and PET/MR fused images for diagnostic and research purposes. Operates cutting-edge technology that includes a variety of dual-modality scanners such as long bore, dedicated cardiac, research, and PET/MR. Uses multiple dose calibrators, auto dose injection systems, glucometers, and other related medical equipment. Maintains competency and retains extensive knowledge of a large variety of complex PET procedures. Able to prioritize tasks and work efficiently while paying close attention to detail within a high-volume Nuclear Medicine Department.
