PET/CT Technologist
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support an operational startup for a parked mobile PET/CT unit for one of our Radiology and Imaging Services Clients. This role involves performing daily Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) on the PET/CT scanner, including calibration checks and system performance verification before patient scans. Responsibilities also include comprehensive patient care, such as preparing patients for imaging procedures, inserting IVs for radiopharmaceutical injections, monitoring patients during and after scans, and managing linens and cleaning duties. Candidates will also be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, primarily with the Siemens Trinion PET/CT camera, and coordinating with applications support for advanced technical concerns. The position requires flexibility, independence, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations and an excellent patient experience. This is a full-time, 13-week contract role with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, and an estimated patient volume of 10–15 per day. Skills and Requirements - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT) - Active CPR certification (BLS - Basic Life Support) - IV competency - Minimum of 2–3 years of experience (exceptional new graduates considered) - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other technologists - Comfortable managing QC/QA processes and patient care responsibilities - Experience with Siemens Trinion PET/CT cameras - Previous mobile PET/CT experience - Familiarity with operational startup environments - Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and schedules
