General Purpose:
Having and maintaining a working knowledge of human anatomy and the concepts of functional exercise, basic nutrition and fundamental principles of exercise science.
Essential Duties:
Perform screening and client assessments; proficiency in conducting these evaluations initially and progressively.
An ability to design and execute individual and small group exercise fitness programs tailored to the needs and attainable goals of the individual.
Ability to motivate clients to reach their health and fitness goals through appropriate cardiovascular, flexibility, resistance exercise, nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Ability to modify exercises according to clients’ fitness levels.
Maintain personal integrity, client confidentiality and professional standards for best practice.
Excellent people skills to enable you to work with a wide range of individuals with different backgrounds and motivations.
The ability to inspire your clients with a friendly and outgoing personality.
Ability to use information technology for a range of purposes including record keeping, class scheduling, session reminders, sales and invoicing, client and group management and analyzing your clients' progress.
Communicating with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Awareness and understanding of safeguarding practice and policy.
Participates in continuing education seminars and workshops.
Performs other duties as required.
Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.

Certification & Education Level:
Nationally recognized certification ACE (American Council on Exercise), ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), or NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
CPR and First Aid certified.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
