About this RoleSummary:
Permit Drafter prepares and submit permit application packages for telecommunication construction to various entities including city, county, railroad, and DOT. The permit drafter reviews (QA/QC) the application packages of others to ensure quality, compliance, and completeness. Supports the lead and assists other staff as needed.
What You'll Do
Essential Functions:
Objectively inspects and audits the work of others; ensuring the applications are free of errorsDifferentiates between client specific standards, procedures, and requirementsTracks projects according to client and company procedures from inception to approvalFollows, interprets, and applies NESC standards as well as specific standards where applicableResponds to inquiries promptly and with courtesyCreation of base maps, including page layouts, scale, and match linesPhysical Requirements
Although mostly sedentary the position requires manual dexterity, standing, walking, and the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment with routine use of office equipment; however, in some instances it will be necessary to visit the job site and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Travel
There is no anticipated overnight travel for this position. Some local day travel may be required.
