2:30pm - 11pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours
We're seeking a Perioperative Services Technician for Emory University Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety for all patients. This individual will: Delegates assignments and adjusts work flow to meet the most important needs to maintain efficiency and timely services. Assists in training staff and communicating departmental policies and procedures. Assist with establishing on-call and holiday schedule coverage. Provides input on employee performance in job conferences. Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Manager. Performs duties involved with: cleaning, disinfection and trash removal, adherence to safety, security, and health guidelines, transporting patients, providing customer service by greeting and acknowledging patients, family members and staff. Prepares operating room for administration of anesthesia; sets up stocks and maintains specialty carts.Maintains equipment and related supplies in aseptic condition. Maintains stocks of supplies, drugs, and linens as needed before, during, and after surgeries. Performs other related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years of experience as a Perioperative Tech or equivalent.
