MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must meet the education requirement for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography ultrasound certification with either CCI or ARDMS; Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience: Entry level; at least one (1) year of clinical experience in diagnostic medical ultrasound (including time spent in an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program) – must have at least six (6) months obstetric scanning experience.
License/Certification: Credentials from ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, driving (occasionally for outreach clinics); reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: Manipulation of ultrasound transducer. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids, and disease.
