the health of our communitiesJOB SUMMARYFunctioning within the context of the framework for professional nursing practice the Perinatal Safety Nurse serves as a collaborative member of the leadership team who oversees the current and future development implementation and evaluation of site specific obstetric patient safety education and quality initiatives Examples include but are not limited to the national perinatal patient safety bundles and the Joint Commission Elements of Performance for Maternal SafetyThe Perinatal Safety Nurse also serves as a champion for the system wide Maternal preferredLicensure Certification RegistrationConnecticut State Nursing LicenseFetal Monitoring CertificationNRPBLSOB Inpatient Certification preferredACLS preferredKnowledge Skills and Ability RequirementsWorking knowledge of implementation scienceBackground in designing and implementation of simulationsKnowledge of current prenatal care guidelines and practicesStrong understanding of prenatal and maternal healthAbility to work in a highly collaborative team environmentExcellent observational and diagnostic skillsFamiliarity with the EPICProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word
