**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** Under limited supervision of the Chief Perfusionist and operating surgeon, sets up, operates, and manages complex technical life support equipment required for patients undergoing open heart surgery and ECMO. **What you will do** + Investigates and evaluates new technologies for improved quality and increased efficiency. Position may require working at either campus or alternate sites. **Minimum Qualifications** + **Education:** B.S. in sciences; graduate of an accredited perfusion school. + **Licensure:** ABCP certified or certification eligible, AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification, CT state license or eligible if new graduate. + **Certification:** BLS required; 1-year clinical experience or new graduate with a minimum of 50 cases.
