Purpose and Mission
Manage Business Unit (BU) Team to ensure high performance while providing excellent customer service. Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department. Work closely with upper management, plants and various departments to ensure seamless service to our customers.
Key Activities and Responsibilities About the role Your Impact as Performance Wires Segment Leader:Manage Business Unit (BU) Team to ensure high performance while providing excellent customer service. Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department. Work closely with upper management, plants and various departments to ensure seamless service to our customers.
Oversee Agriculture & BMC Commercial Team, including Imports. Manage day-to-day operations; including KPI and target setting, regular performance reviews and coaching. Identify new opportunities within the region and capitalize on these opportunities Serve as liaison between sales management, plants, logistics, etc. Escalate and resolve issues between departments; continually working towards improvement. Claim review & approval. Reporting Duties; ad hoc or at regular intervals. Monitor open orders, deliveries, invoices and margins. Comfortable working with all levels within the organization. Active member/participant of the SSW Leadership Team Ability to diffuse and escalate issues within the team or within the larger company. Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability. Inter Company projects/initiatives support and management. Work closely with the Planning, Logistics, Sales Team, Credit, and Shipping Departments to ensure a high service level and on-time delivery to customers. Collaborate with global teams on strategic actions for the segment, including new product developments, marketing digitalization plans and market intelligence exchange. Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability, go-to market ventures, marketing, innovative products and new markets. Inter Company projects/initiatives support and management. Work closely with the Planning, Logistics, Sales Team, Credit, and Shipping Departments to ensure a high service level, on-time delivery to customers, on-time payments and adequate inventory levels. Compile and plan X+1 and X+5 for the Business Unit Perform market assessments to identify current market size and share of each sub-market Set and monitor competitive activity, pricing and terms for each sub-market Ensure long-term success for Bekaert through strategic partnerships and agreements Defend and increase profitability while controlling working capital for the business. Determine Go to Market Strategy for several different value streams Identify latent and unmet needs in the market and develop capabilities to serve those Enter new markets where products have not been applied beforeAbout You
Essential skills & competencies
Embody and champion Bekaert’s Leadership Behaviors 4-year college degree preferred; or minimum 10 years of relevant commercial sales experience Previous management or supervisorial skills Minimum 3 years of inside sales/customer service experience Excellent verbal & written communication skills Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word Ability to work autonomously Enthusiastic go-getter and team player Analytical mindset Value base selling SAP knowledge preferred Willingness to travel up to 50% Skills Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
