We are looking for a proactive Performance QA Engineer to take a leading role in shaping the quality and stability of our healthcare products. You are a technical expert who not only excels at identifying performance bottlenecks but also enjoys building the tools and frameworks to prevent them. As a key partner to our development, architecture, and infrastructure teams, you will champion performance best practices, mentor colleagues, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Your mission:
Technical design and development of Performance framework for large core product and functional components
Conduct requirement and design analysis, and prepare specifications, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, automation, and performance testing.
Conduct product validation test execution, develop performance test plans and test strategies, report defects, and generate test reports.
Work closely with application development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to define success criteria for automation, performance testing, and application analysis initiatives.
Mentor team members on performance testing best practices and drive adoption of testing frameworks.
Conduct load, stress, and endurance testing to ensure system reliability under diverse conditions.
Contribute to a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement within an Agile team.
Essential skills for your mission:
Experience in performance testing, ideally within a product-focused organization.
Proficiency in Java programming for test automation and scripting (hands-on expertise required).
Expertise with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing database queries.
Experience in test case management, reporting, and using bug tracking systems such as Jira.
Exposure to Linux and SQL, and flexible to work on manual testing when needed.
Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies, including databases, web, web services, and reporting.
Strong comprehension, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, quick learner, and good troubleshooting capabilities.
Bonus skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, life sciences, or equivalent work experience is required.
Master of Science (MS) degree in a relevant study area is preferred.
Experience working in a regulated environment of the healthcare, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceutical industry with Information Security and Computer System Validation (CSV).
Experience testing business intelligence/analytics applications or software for multi-tenant enterprise SaaS applications is a big plus.
Knowledge of UI/UX testing and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) is a plus.
In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.843 - per month for this position. But!
