LabCorp is seeking a Per Diem Testing Clerk to join our team in Raritan, NJ. This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.

**Pay Range:  $16-$19/hr.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

This is a per diem position between the hours of Monday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (up to 20/hrs. per week).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingCommunicate effectively interdepartmentally, as well as with client office staff and Reference LabsResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsMeet department activity and production goalsData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Accurately identify and label specimens Pack, ship, and process specimens to be sent out to additional facilitiesPerform sample sorting, racking and retrievingPrepare record logs in a timely and efficient mannerScrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updatedDo spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent1-year relative experience preferred (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment)Previous medical or patient facing healthcare experience is a plusMust be courteous with strong customer service orientationComfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentFlexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quicklyStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift - up to 40lbs.Ability to withstand extended periods of time in walk in coolers and freezerAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust pass a standardized color-blind testIdeal candidate is available specifically on Mondays and Saturdays as well as additional weekdays.
