Overview PepsiCo Beverages Full Time Maintenance Millwright The Maintenance Millwright contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by repairing and installing production equipment. This individual also inspects equipment for proper functioning, performs preventative maintenance duties and diagnoses equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. Please watch realistic video as it will be referenced during the interview process: https://vimeo.com/177095836 Shifts: Afternoons and Graveyard This is a full-time position that requires open availability including weekends Pay Rate: $50.48/hr + any applicable premiums listed below: Night shift premium of $0.95/hour (Graveyard Shift - 10pm to 6am) Afternoon shift premium of $.80/hour (Afternoon Shift - 2pm to 10pm) Class 4 Boiler Certificate - $1/hour premium Annual tool allowance of $650 Uniform allowance of $230 per year What you can expect from us: Competitive compensation with shift premiums Immediate eligibility to partake in our Flexible Benefits Program Defined Contribution pension plan with company match Paid vacation time Banking of overtime 9 pairs of properly fitted coveralls provided by and cleaned by the company Please note: Only applicants who clearly indicate they hold a Red Seal Millwright Certificationwill be contacted for an interview Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment Repair building system Changeover production line equipment Upgrade areas with new equipment/technology, working with outside contractors Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner Follow the direction of Maintenance Leadhand, Supervisors and Department Managers Able to work in a multi-department team environment Keep work area orderly and clean Physical demands and working conditions: You can lift/carry large loads up to 50-85 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping Qualifications Hold a Red Seal Millwright Certification High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred Must be able to work afternoon and/or graveyard shifts and overtime as required Must be a Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or have completed an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship Knowledge of machine control systems, safety control system and troubleshooting them Willing to contribute and dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint Able to work with machine shop tools and welders in a safe productive setting Ability to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manuals Additional skills you may have (assets, not required): Class 4 Power Engineer Certificate (PepsiCo will pay for training courses) Bottle and Can Line maintenance experience in the food/packaged goods industry About Us PepsiCo’s mission is to create smiles with every sip and every bite.
