As a People Relations Specialist in the HR function, your main focus will be to guide and enhance the relationship between the leaders and employees in Colombia & Ecuador. Your role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that employment policies and practices align with legal requirements. Understanding the broader business goals in your Sales Market and how people relations strategies align with and contribute to achieving those objectives. Equip HR Business Line and Business Leaders with the appropriate training, tools, and access to relevant information to be proactive in managing risk and People Relations related topics/cases.
This role reports into our People Relations Manager for MX-CO-EC and is based out of Bogota, Colombia.

Focus on day-to-day people relations activities, handling issues such as conflict resolution, investigations, and policy interpretationLead the Social Work team in Ecuador and their assigned responsibilities, ensuring alignment with local requirements and internal people processesStay updated on labor law changes and updates in Colombia & Ecuador, in close collaboration with external legal advisors, and analyze potential scenarios together with the People Relations Manager to provide informed guidance to Function Heads for effective decision-makingDrive implementation plan of new and/or updated H&M Group social policies, guidelines or frameworkDeliver on local people relations plans and prios aligned with global strategy and prioritiesAct on local legally needed adaptations of policies and standardsProvide strategic and operational advice to local management and HR Business LineGovern and follow up on compliance for Colombia & EcuadorEnsure local grievance process that is in line with the Global grievance policy and handle grievance investigationsEnsure the respect for freedom of association for all colleagues connected to our business, and, in case unions or workers’ organizations exist, support the strategy and actions defined together with the People Relations Manager or whoever the People Relations Manager delegates for this purposeSecure that Managers are fully aware of their responsibilities and have a proactive internal dialogue Drive risk assessments as a tool to identify hazards in the physical and psychosocial work environmentParticipate in risk assessments to analyze and understand events which might lead to crisis and uncertainty in the organization e.g., internal controls or geopolitics contextSecure that crisis is handled in accordance with Our General People Principles - In times of crisisExpectation to contribute to People Relations NetworkMay perform other activities related to the positionOccasional domestic and international travel may be requiredRequisitosWho You Are:
At least two years Employee/People Relations experience (may consider equivalent HR education + ER experience)In-depth knowledge of local employment laws and regulationProven track record in developing, revising, and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulationsExperience managing relationships with unions and workers’ representatives (where applicable)Demonstrated commitment to human rights advocacy within the workplace.Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive occupational health and safety programsCommunicate fluently in Spanish and English to collaborate across marketsInformación adicionalLo que te encantará de trabajar en H&M
