As a People Relations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring fairness, compliance, and care in every employee interaction. This role is ideal for someone passionate about employee relations, who thrives in a dynamic, technology-driven environment, and who is eager to make a tangible impact on Guidewire’s culture and business outcomes. You will help solve complex people challenges, support critical employee lifecycle interventions, and contribute to Guidewire’s vision of scaling and strengthening its global workforce.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Oversee the Performance Improvement process from intake to completion, ensuring fairness, compliance, and quality execution for APAC/India.

Coordinate all elements of the involuntary exit process, including documentation, severance, and system actions, to ensure a seamless and professional employee exit experience.

Support core employee relations (ER) operations, including triaging queries, conducting case intake and assessments, confidential note-taking, and managing probation tracking and documentation.

Maintain ER records and reporting, support policy adherence, and guide managers on best practices.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of ER processes and tools, with a focus on operational discipline and employee experience.

Partner with Managers, Business Partners, Legal, and Centers of Excellence to deliver consistent and compliant outcomes.

Manage multiple cases simultaneously, balancing precision, empathy, and discretion.

What you’ll bring

Required

Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Experience in employee relations, HR operations, or people process management within a multinational or technology-driven organization.

Proven ability to manage sensitive employment processes such as performance improvement plans (PIPs), involuntary exits, or probation reviews with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.

Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and empathetic messaging to managers and employees globally.

High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail when handling employment data and sensitive information.

Working knowledge of employment frameworks and compliance considerations across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, North America).

Preferred

Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated capability in coordinating ER processes end-to-end, including document preparation, system actions, and stakeholder alignment.

Ability to work effectively across teams and functions.

Comfortable managing structured workflows and tracking deliverables against defined SLAs.

Process improvement mindset—proactively identifies and implements ways to streamline and standardize ER processes.

Resilient and adaptable in managing time-sensitive matters, balancing precision and empathy under pressure.
