What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Serve as the People Experience (PX) Lead for the PGS Melbourne manufacturing site, acting as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team on people strategy, workforce matters, and organisational prioritiesPartner closely with site leaders to align people initiatives with manufacturing, operational, and business goals in a complex and highly regulated environmentLead and manage employee and industrial relations matters, including advising on the interpretation and application of multiple enterprise agreements and associated employment obligations, investigations, performance matters, and disciplinary processesSupport leaders in building a positive, compliant, and high-performing site culture, balancing business needs with colleague experience and legislative requirementsCoach and enable people leaders on core PX practices, including talent, performance, development, engagement, and organisational effectivenessPartner with centres of excellence and broader PX teams to deliver recruitment, workforce planning, learning, compensation, and change initiatives for the siteContribute to site-wide change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring people impacts are effectively managedUse data and insights to identify workforce trends, recommend interventions, and support decision-making across the site leadership teamMonitor and interpret changes in employment and industrial legislation, ensuring site practices remain compliant and fit for purposeHere Is What You Need (Preferred Requirements)
Demonstrated experience in a senior HR or PX partnering role, ideally supporting a site leadership team within a complex manufacturing organisation, preferably with experience working in a multinational organisationStrong business acumen and the ability to translate people strategy into practical outcomes in an operational settingExcellent consulting, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly with leaders and colleaguesExperience in change management and organisational transformationDemonstrated experience managing employee relations and industrial relations matters, including working with multiple enterprise agreements and unionised environmentsSound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial frameworks, and risk management practicesAbility to coach leaders through complex and sensitive people matters with sound judgment and pragmatismExperience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use as well as proficiency in MS OfficeKnowledge of financial and operational metrics to drive workforce and talent outcomes for the businessStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with high levels of emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability
