People Experience Advisor

As a People Experience Advisor, you’ll be\r\na trusted partner to colleagues and line managers across our Sopra Steria UK\r\nfamily—offering day-to-day guidance on employee relations, people policies, and\r\ninclusive HR practices.

Working within our centralised People Hub, you’ll help shape\r\na fair and engaging employee experience by supporting ER cases, supporting\r\nmanagers through sensitive situations, and contributing to key initiatives like\r\npolicy harmonisation, wellbeing activities, and performance reviews. Whether\r\nyou're advising on disciplinary matters, coordinating TUPE transfers, or\r\nsupporting parental leave journeys, your work will have a direct impact on how\r\nour people feel at work.

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration,\r\nbrings empathy and professionalism to every interaction, and is eager to grow\r\ntheir expertise in HR advisory support while helping us build a truly great\r\nplace to work.

Our HR operations function will be moving into our Newcastle\r\noffice in the coming months. That means you’ll be based onsite at our Newcastle\r\noffice three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), with the flexibility to work\r\nfrom home on the remaining days. During the initial training period, occasional\r\ntravel to our Stockton office may be required.

 

What you'll be doing:

Provide\r\n day-to-day guidance to managers and colleagues on employee relations\r\n matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance.Support\r\n formal ER processes by preparing documentation, attending meetings, and\r\n maintaining accurate case records.Advise\r\n on HR policies and employment legislation, ensuring fair and consistent\r\n application across the business.Contribute\r\n to TUPE activity, policy reviews, and harmonisation of terms and\r\n conditions.Support\r\n with employee experience initiatives such as wellbeing, engagement\r\n surveys, and annual HR cycles (e.g. pay and performance reviews).Collaborate\r\n with cross-functional teams to resolve complex queries and deliver\r\n joined-up people support.Maintain\r\n and update HR systems, case management tools, and the People Hub knowledge\r\n base.Support\r\n continuous improvement of HR processes and contribute to policy\r\n development and compliance activities.

What you’ll bring:

Background in HR with\r\n solid understanding of employee relations, employment law, HR policies,\r\n and payroll support.Proven\r\n customer service experience, with the ability to assess needs and respond\r\n effectively in a high-demand environment.Confident\r\n navigating escalation routes and resolving complex queries with\r\n professionalism.Excellent\r\n communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on clarity, empathy,\r\n and collaboration.Organised\r\n and meticulous, with the ability to handle multiple priorities confidently\r\n while maintaining accurate records.
