Job Purpose

As a People Development Intern, you will support the factory’s capability-building initiatives by assisting in training coordination, skill tracking, and continuous improvement activities. This internship offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS), safety and quality standards, and people development strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

Assist in organizing and coordinating training sessions for shopfloor employees (e.g., operators, apprentices)Support the development and maintenance of training materials and logistics (e.g., scheduling rooms, preparing handouts)Help maintain accurate training records and documentationAssist in updating skill matrices and tracking employee skill progressionParticipate in technical skill assessments and data collectionCollaborate with line managers and team leaders to schedule and promote training programsSupport UMS-related workshops and continuous improvement activitiesContribute to People Development Pillar activities and internal auditsLearn and apply basic concepts of Lean, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies

Candidate Criteria

Skill & Qualification:

Problem-solving and analytical skillsAble to collaborate with relevant functions to deliver training programs as planStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with good organizational skillsEager to learn and contribute to a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel skills are a plus)Comfortable communicating in English (written and spoken)

Education & Experience:

Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Human Resources Development is preferred but not limited to Business Management or other related fieldsInternship or Co-operative Program with 4-6 months duration or more is preferredTechnical knowledge in machinery and technology is preferred but not strictly requiredFamiliar with a variety of concepts and practices of FMCG is a plusPrevious coursework or experience in manufacturing is a plus
