People Coordinator

SUMMARY 

The People Coordinator will collaborate with all associate levels within the organization to challenge the status quo and bring the associate experience to the next level. The main focus of the role will be to manage the administrative functions of the department and support the overall People function. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:

Make the impossible possible!Think big, solve problems and get to the root of concerns, no matter how complex, be proactive and reactive in creating and implementing solutions. Responsible for all communication with newly hired Associates as well as the administration of new hire paperwork.Assist with general office duties including but not limited to, answering incoming calls, creating a welcoming environment for associates and visitors, and answering associate inquiries and walk-ins.Complete accurate data entry and analysis on a consistent and timely basis.Manage employment records, including but not limited to I-9s, personnel files, OSHA logs, benefit information and employment records.Coordinate and execute people plans for associate recognition programs, employee relations, total rewards benefit programs, full-cycle recruitment, performance management and recruitment retention strategies. Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality; maintain the integrity of the department and property at all times.Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s Degree Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur

PREFERRED

Previous luxury hotel experienceWorking knowledge of Illinois employment laws, reporting requirements, unemployment insurance0-2 years of human resources experienceWorking knowledge of WorkdayBilingual, English and Spanish preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates; use of these senses will occur on a constant basis.   

The pay range for People Coordinator is $24.90 - 26.00 hourly, dependent on experience. The pay scale is the base hourly range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Pendry reasonably expects to pay for the position.
