**Description** **Pediatrician Per Diem for UNCPN UNC Wayne Goldsboro, NC** UNCPN Neonatal Unit at UNC Wayne is hiring a pediatrician for a wonderful opportunity. We are currently recruiting experienced pediatricians to work in our level II newborn nursery. Per Diem 2 or more shifts a month. **About Us:** The Hospital: UNC Health Wayne (https://www.waynehealth.org/) The Community: Explore Goldsboro, NC (https://brewmastersnc.com/15-things-to-do-in-goldsboro-nc/) **Schedule:** 24 hour shifts (2 or more shifts a month) **Responsibilities:** + Providing care for a busy newborn service (100+ deliveries per month + Average daily census is 10 + including 2+ special care newborn + Responsible for rounding on all well and special care newborns + Attend high risk deliveries and stabilize premature and/or unstable neonates for transfer to higher level of care NICU **Qualifications:** + Graduation from an accredited MD or DO school + 2-3 experience in level II nursery required + Experience in attending deliveries and newborn nursery coverage required + Required procedures: intubations, umbilical catheter placement, CPAP and ventilator management, circumcisions + NRP required + North Carolina Medical license required **Contact Information:** Dee Rice, Physician Recruiter Dee.Rice@unchealth.unc.edu **Other Information** Other information: Education Requirements: ● Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● Board Certified in Specialty; MD License in healthcare specialty ● DEA;MD;BLS Professional Experience Requirements: ● Prefer prior experience in Pediatrics. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ● Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English. REASONING ABILITY High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS certification. Board certified in area of specialty.
