**Job Title:** Pediatric Sonographer
**Location:** New Brunswick ,NJ
**Department:** Pediatric Cardiology
**Job Type:** Temp (Three months)
**Shift:** Monday-Friday 8-4:30 or 8:30-5pm.
**Salary:** 50/HR
**Position Summary:**
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer or Adult Sonographer . The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing high-quality ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. You will play a critical role in delivering accurate diagnostic information while ensuring a safe, supportive, and child-friendly experience for patients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams specifically for pediatric patients, including abdominal, pelvic, cranial, vascular, and small parts imaging.
+ Collaborate with pediatricians, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate interpretation and diagnosis.
+ Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
+ Prepare and position patients appropriately while using age-appropriate communication and comfort techniques.
+ Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and images in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
+ Assist with sedation or distraction techniques when necessary in coordination with nursing and child life staff.
+ Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe imaging environment.
+ Participate in continuing education to stay current with advances in pediatric sonography and best practices.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
+ **Certification:**
+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by ARDMS, with **Pediatric Sonography (PS)** credential preferred or required.
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

2. Minimum 3 years of pediatric ultrasound experience preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a child-focused approach.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Pay Details:** $50.00 per hour
