Pediatric Radiation Oncologist - #Faculty
The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences is seeking an outstanding academically-focused pediatric radiation oncologist to direct the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Radiation Oncology Center. The center director will lead initiatives in pediatric cancer care, with a focus on pediatric brain tumor research. These initiatives will encompass, but not be limited to, neurocognitive research, drug development, the biological understanding of proton therapy, and the development of federated databases. The candidate should be at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Clinically, the candidate will provide radiation therapy for pediatric and adult central nervous system cancers within the Department of Radiation Oncology site at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. Clinical activities will include participation in multidisciplinary clinics and collaborations with pediatric and adult neurosurgeons, medical oncologists, and the diverse multi-disciplinary team of CNS cancer care providers. Involvement within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center will be encouraged. The successful candidate will work closely with the integrated clinical team at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the National Capital Region, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Requirements include an M.D. degree(s), ABR board certification or eligibility, demonstrated clinical competency in Radiation Oncology, and a strong interest in the clinical care and research of pediatric cancer patients.
